ذكرى أطول رجل كان، قالت له زوجته: انحَنِ، فأنت ظاهر، فقال: لن أنحني، بل أموت واقفا. ما زالت الكلمة تتردد في أذني منذ صلاة الجمعة "لن أنحني، بل أموت واقفا" . مات واقفا، رحمه الله وإخوانه.
