Он в профессии с 1974-го. Освещал соревнования, вел тематические программы, работал на Олимпийских играх, Чемпионатах мира и Европы по футболу. А в футболе Геннадий Сергеевич реально гуру. Бывший игрок юношеской сборной СССР, ленинградских «Динамо» и «Зенита» — в ситуацию на поле он погружен на 100%. Разбирается в тактических нюансах, следит за перипетиями игры, а если критикует, то по делу.
Всегда открытый, доброжелательный, интеллигентный. Я искренне рад, что жизнь свела меня с ним. Крепкого здоровья, благополучия и неиссякаемой энергии!
