💃Караку считается традиционным нарядом города Алжир и его окрестностей. Этот костюм появился в XIV веке и носила его аристократия города Алжир на свадьбах и обрезании, символизируя своё влияние и статус. В то время его называли "Глила".

🧥Караку состоит из двух частей: первая часть обычно представляет собой пиджак из бархата, украшенный золотыми нитями, которые называются "фетла" и "маджбуд" на груди, шее и руках. Он характеризуется традиционной вышивкой золотыми нитями.

👖Вторая часть - это кусок ткани, который обычно изготавливается проще и легче первой части, чаще всего из сатина. Она может быть выполнена в виде юбки или штанов, называемых "Саруал Шалка". Также существуют короткие и современные варианты этой части.
