Такое заявление сделал Э. Ринкевич после встречи с премьером Э.Силиней. По его мнению, выделенных 3,45% ВВП на оборону недостаточно.
К слову, вчера избранный президент США Дональд Трамп заявил, что страны НАТО должны тратить на оборону эквивалент 5% экономического производства.
Латвийские журналисты поинтересовались у Ринкевича, не связано ли его стремление со словами Трампа. Президент от ответа, скажем, вежливо уклонился. А вот Силиня призвала не паниковать.
Понятна, что пока наши три страны и Польша не доведут досрочно и в инициативном порядке свои расходы на оборону до 5% от ВВП, чтобы понравиться Трампу, они не остановятся.
Создаётся устойчивое впечатление, что наша страна предназначена не для жизни, а для войны. Но сколько вы не тратьте на оружие, а всё равно победит тот, у кого больше солдат, которые из него стреляют.

They may value access to news and communication with their loved ones over making sure that all of their communications are encrypted in such a manner that they are indecipherable to Telegram, its employees, or governments with court orders.
