Авария произошла ночью около 2:00 на перекрёстке проспекта Славы и улицы Попова. Водитель BMW X7 проехал на красный свет и столкнулся с «ГАЗелью» скорой помощи. Автомобили врезались в опору ЛЭП и стену одного из зданий.
Двое женщин-медиков 38 и 45 лет скончались от полученных травм. Ещё двое водителей и двое пассажиров BMW получили травмы различной степени тяжести.
