«از نظر ما امضاکنندگان این مرقومه که بیش از ده سال با آقای دکتر مخبر و مجموعه تحت امر ایشان در خلال مسئله معدن قزل قیه تعامل و مراوده داشته ایم، کاملا مشخص و مبرهن است که شخصیت این فرد نمی تواند کمکی به ایجاد تحول در دولت جمهوری اسلامی کند و چه بسا یکی از بزرگترین موانع بر سر راه این تحول بسیار ضروری برای کشور باشد. ما امضاکنندگان این مرقومه ضمن اعلان برائت از یکان یکان گروه های سیاسی، اعلام میداریم این طومار را صرفا از سر دلسوزی نسبت به آینده سیاسی-اجتماعی نظام جمهوری اسلامی آماده کردیم تا حجت را بر خود و اطرافیان در این آگاه سازی جنابعالی تمام کنیم.»

Telegram has acted to remove public channels affiliated with terrorism, but Pavel Durov reiterated that he had no business snooping on private conversations. Telegram users are able to send files of any type up to 2GB each and access them from any device, with no limit on cloud storage, which has made downloading files more popular on the platform. Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. But this has also meant that the company has also engaged with lawmakers more generally, although it maintains that it doesn’t do so willingly. For instance, in September 2021, Telegram reportedly blocked a chat bot in support of (Putin critic) Alexei Navalny during Russia’s most recent parliamentary elections. Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land.
