Конечно, на том уровне технологического развития исторической точки, в которой находился теоретик пилотируемой космонавтики, размышлять о сложности работы в открытом космосе было не просто. Возможно, Константин Эдуардович допустил упрощение для простоты восприятия читателем…

Однако, на практике оказалось, что сам по себе выход в открытый космос можно обозначить, как «полёт в космос во время полёта в космос». Соответственно, и здоровье и физическая форма для этих операций должны быть даже сверх тех требований, которые предъявляются к кандидатам просто для отправки на орбиту Земли.

30 января 2025 года 59-летний астронавт Сунита Уильямс (на видео) и 62-летний Барри Уилмор провели в открытом космосе 5 часов 26 минут.
