Так, в этот раз подразделения ГВ "Запад" установили контроль на правым берегом р. Оскол южнее н.п. Двуречная и закрепились в обширных лесных массивах на господствующих высотах.
В случае закрепления и подтягивания сюда резервов становится возможным штурм н.п. Двуречная, чье освобождение позволит создать устойчивый плацдарм для дальнейшего наступления на г. Купянск с севера по обеим берегам р. Оскол.
