До назначения Юрий Борисов был зампредседателя правительства РФ. 5 февраля, еще в должности гендиректора ГК, он посетил Пермь, где открыл новое производство на АО «Протон-ПМ». Новым руководителем «Роскосмоса» назначен 39-летний Дмитрий Баканов, который занимал должность заместителя министра транспорта.
