При этом, по данным источников «Ъ», одним из основных кандидатов на место прокурора столицы называют прокурора Тверской области Максима Жука, который является выходцем из Краснодарского края. В свое время он расследовал бандитизм и убийства, а на нынешнюю должность был назначен в январе этого года. До этого возглавлял прокуратуру города Севастополя.
