Попросила прокомментировать ситуацию с музеем истории ГУЛАГа Владимира Толстого, праправнука Льва Толстого, генерального директора музея-усадьбы писателя «Хамовники», в прошлом, с 2012 по 2024 гг. советника президента РФ по вопросам культуры:
«История цельная, в ней были разные периоды. И болезненные, которые может быть неприятно вспоминать, но нужно помнить всё.
Конечно, закрытие любого музея это вопиющий случай. В данном случае есть ссылки на технические проблемы. Если это действительно так, то проблемы будут решены и музей истории ГУЛАГа будет восстановлен и открыт. Либо, может быть, музею будут предоставлены другие площади. Не знаю даже, кто принимает эти решения.
Но сам факт, что музей закрыт, мне кажется некрасивым и неправильным».
