В районе Бордо (Франция) 24 января проведены первые летные испытания новейшего французского патрульного самолета Falcon 2000 Albatros, предназначенного для ВМС страны. Первый самолет, производством которого займется компания Dassault Aviation, передадут французским военно-морским силам в 2026 году. Поставки всей партии из 12 единиц будут завершены в 2030 году. Albatros заменит устаревшие Falcon 50 и Guardians.
Фюзеляж самолета имеет длину около 20 метров. Высота – семь метров. Размах крыльев составляет 21,4 метра. Самолет способен непрерывно находиться в воздухе до семи часов.
Под фюзеляжем установлен многофункциональный радар Thales Searchmaster. Также самолет оборудован электронно-оптической/инфракрасной турелью Safran Euroflir 410, спутниковой связью, системой автоматической идентификации, аварийным люком и смотровыми иллюминаторами. На борту самолета будет система сброса поисково-спасательной цепи.
