لما ذكر الله الدنيا وزينتها ذكّر المؤمنين بأمرين: - أن هذه زينة الدنيا وبهجتها ابتلاء واختبار، فيجب أن يكون المؤمن منها على حذر! - أنها إلى زوال وخراب، فليست دار بقاء، وإن من أعظم ما يزهد في فتنة الدنيا وزينتها؛ تذكر المؤمن مآل الدنيا، ومصيرها، وزوالها، وأنها تذهب وتخرب! فهي مخلوقة للابتلاء والمحنة، ثم هي مع ذلك إلى زوال وفناء!
