15 января 2025 года Свердловский районный суд г.Красноярска огласил приговор в отношении Шабунина Владимира Дмитриевича. Суд признал Шабунина В.Д. виновным в совершении преступления, предусмотренного ч.2 ст.201 УК РФ и назначил наказание в виде 5 лет лишения свободы в исправительной колонии общего режима, с лишением права заниматься деятельностью, связанной с осуществлением управленческих, организационно-распорядительных и административно-хозяйственных функций в коммерческих организациях в сфере привлечения денежных средств участников долевого строительства на срок 2 года.
Также в силу ст.48 УК РФ Шабунин В.Д. лишен почетного звания «Заслуженный строитель Российской Федерации».
