Действующий депутат Рязгордумы Алексей Захаров обратился к избирателям: «Я прошу вас прийти 10 сентября на избирательный участок и поддержать мою кандидатуру и список КПРФ, если вы проживаете в 18 округе. Если же вы живёте где-то в другом месте, в любом случае, каждый голос за КПРФ приближает нашу победу.»
Прошедшие пять лет его работы в Думе дают основания утверждать, что при продлении его полномочий на следующую пятилетку выиграет и Дума, и избиратели округа, и Рязань в целом.
