• Natural materials for filling, like leaves, acorns, berries, sliced citrus, seeds, pine needles
• Man-made materials for filling, like buttons, glitter and rhinestones (optional)
1. To make a clear ice ornament, let's follow these simple steps. First, we need to bring a big pot of water to a boil. Boiling water helps get rid of the little bubbles that make ice look cloudy. We want our suncatcher to be nice and clear! After the water has boiled, we need to let it cool down.
2. Place your decorative materials at the bottom of the container you want to use. The bottom of the container will become the ornament’s front, so put the brightest and best items facedown at the bottom.
3.Place a looped piece of twine or string into the future ornament that it freezes into place.
4. Now we can pour water into a mold or container and put it in the freezer or bring it outside (if it's cold enough).
5. As the water freezes, it will turn into a beautiful clear ice ornament. It's time to take the ornament out of the mold. We can do this by gently pressing on one side of the ice or by dipping the bottom of the container in warm water. Remember, we should not pull the ornament by its string because that might make the string come off.
