С апреля 2020 по январь 2025 года возглавлял ГАУ СО «Арена», в состав которого входит несколько спортивных объектов, в том числе комплекс «Лада-Арена». Под руководством Игоря Поварова объект в кратчайшие сроки был приведен к стандартам Континентальной хоккейной лиги, уточняют в пресс-службе ХК «Лада».

But on Friday, Reuters reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin said there had been some “positive shifts” in talks between the two sides. "There is a significant risk of insider threat or hacking of Telegram systems that could expose all of these chats to the Russian government," said Eva Galperin with the Electronic Frontier Foundation, which has called for Telegram to improve its privacy practices. Multiple pro-Kremlin media figures circulated the post's false claims, including prominent Russian journalist Vladimir Soloviev and the state-controlled Russian outlet RT, according to the DFR Lab's report.
