«Они не хотят быть воюющей стороной в том смысле, что Россия может использовать их поддержку как предлог для действий против соседней европейской страны и втянуть мир в войну, которая выйдет за пределы Украины».
При этом Олланд согласился с утверждением, что сейчас идёт война западного и русского миров, а Украина «воюет за весь Европейский союз».
