Утром 3 декабря сотрудники аризонской обсерватории Китт-Пик заметили объект, подлетающий к Земле.

«Он не опасен. Это совсем небольшой объект диаметров около метра. Скорее всего большая его часть сгорит при прохождении плотных слоев атмосферы Земли», рассказал астроном Леонид Еленин.

Падение астероида произошло между поселками Олекминск и Ленском в Якутии.
