В беседе с нами родственники Марины Константиновны рассказали, что последнее время у неё были проблемы с давлением и сосудами, за ней ухаживала профессиональная сиделка, нанятая её дочерью. Накануне вечером женщине стало плохо, её госпитализировали с подозрением на пневмонию. Она могла дать осложнение на ослабленные сосуды. Ночью Восканьянц скончалась.
Марина Константиновна проработала в «Союзмультфильмt» 32 года: с 1959-го по 1991-й год.
Восканьянц участвовала в создании таких знаменитых мультфильмов как «Дюймовочка», «Трое из Простоквашино», «Тайна третьей планеты», «Жил-был пёс», «Волшебное кольцо», «Три толстяка», «Приключения пингвиненка Лоло» и других.
Она специализировалась на танцевальных сценах: её визитной карточкой стал танец Маши с метлой вокруг ёлки в «Щелкунчике».
