Ранее об этом заявлял Ахим Штайнер, глава Программы развития ООН.

Теперь его слова опровергает Стефан Дюжаррик, пресс-секретарь генсека ООН: СМИ все не так поняли, 05.05 будет "подведение промежуточных итогов", но ООН останется в Афганистане и продолжит делать все возможное для помощи афганцам. Также он напомнил, что вопрос признания входит в компетенцию не ООН, а государств-членов.

По словам Рамиза Алакбарова, координатора ООН по гуманитарным вопросам в Афганистане, несмотря на то, что талибы* своими запретами вставляют палки в колеса, сейчас не время поворачиваться спиной к афганцам
