Екатеринбургский гарнизонный военный суд приговорил 37-летнего военнослужащего Евгения Сандульского к самому суровому наказанию по этой статье из известных на сегодняшний день.
Дело поступило в суд в августе 2024 года. Изначально Сандульскому вменялись четыре эпизода самовольного оставления части (часть 5 статьи 337 УК) — в общей сложности он отсутствовал на службе 18 месяцев. В ходе расследования все эпизоды были переквалифицированы на дезертирство (статья 338 УК).
