Это сленговое название формулы для определения дальности до цели:

Д х У = В х 1000 или
Д = В х 1000 / У

Д - дальность
У - угол в тысячных
В - высота объекта в метрах

Например, появился на горизонте человек. Принято считать, что средний его рост 1,7 м. Если его видно под углом в 2 тысячные, то до него примерно 850 м.

Подставить можно любые предметы/объекты, размеры которых известны. Более подробное объяснение здесь или здесь.

Рисунок 1 - из будущего блокнота снайпера. Все никак не доделаю, но штука будет хорошая. Хочется сделать на непромокаемой бумаге, но она стоит, как крыло от самолета. Но ничего, что-то придумаю.
