Our topic, "Authoritarian Renaissance: Fact or Fiction?", examines the resilience of autocratic regimes in the 21st century. We’ll explore whether we’re witnessing a genuine resurgence of authoritarianism or if this perception is shaped by historical and cognitive biases. The conversation will deal with the impact of technology, propaganda, economic factors, and historical legacies on modern governance, while questioning whether the focus on major powers overshadows quieter democratic developments elsewhere.

Telegram does offer end-to-end encrypted communications through Secret Chats, but this is not the default setting. Perpetrators of such fraud use various marketing techniques to attract subscribers on their social media channels. The SC urges the public to refer to the SC’s I nvestor Alert List before investing. The list contains details of unauthorised websites, investment products, companies and individuals. Members of the public who suspect that they have been approached by unauthorised firms or individuals offering schemes that promise unrealistic returns And indeed, volatility has been a hallmark of the market environment so far in 2022, with the S&P 500 still down more than 10% for the year-to-date after first sliding into a correction last month. The CBOE Volatility Index, or VIX, has held at a lofty level of more than 30.
