Its influence extends beyond the platform, with major Russian publications, government officials, and journalists citing the page's posts. Official government accounts have also spread fake fact checks. The video, which has amassed almost 30,000 views, offered a "how-to" spot misinformation. Two days after Russia invaded Ukraine, an account on the Telegram messaging platform posing as President Volodymyr Zelenskiy urged his armed forces to surrender.
