Летом 1967 года популярный журнал «Советский экран» в преддверии пятого Московского кинофестиваля ~~сделал расшар~~ поделился с читателями шаржами на зарубежных кинозвезд от художника Куё Наоки из японского журнала «Друг кино». Внизу трогательно подписали, какие из этих звезд «знакомы советским зрителям» и по каким фильмам. Выходило, что хотя бы на фестивальных показах засветились уже все — кроме Шона Коннери, о котором зато «много писала наша кинопресса (кстати, этот хороший актер ныне отказался сниматься в роли Джеймса Бонда)».

An official Twitter account for the Russia diplomatic mission in Geneva shared a fake debunking video claiming without evidence that "Western and Ukrainian media are creating thousands of fake news on Russia every day." The video, which has amassed almost 30,000 views, offered a "how-to" spot misinformation. Emerson Brooking, a disinformation expert at the Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab, said: "Back in the Wild West period of content moderation, like 2014 or 2015, maybe they could have gotten away with it, but it stands in marked contrast with how other companies run themselves today." He did, however, walk back this plan when it became clear that they had also become a vital communications tool for Ukrainian officials and citizens to help coordinate their resistance and evacuations.
