Строительство храма началось в городе Чибога, церковь будет названа именем святителя Иоанна Шанхайского. Помимо освящения закладного камня, экзарх совершил крещение четырех человек, провел литургию в приходе святителя Иоанна и подарил приходу икону Пресвятой Богородицы.
В тот же день митрополит Константин принял в РПЦ клирика, перешедшего из Александрийского патриархата, и побеседовал с кандидатами на поступление в семинарию.
