✍ بنای با سبک معماری ایرانی چارتاقی که مجسمۀ چهار دانشمند ایرانی، بوعلی سینا، ابوریحان بیرونی، خیام و زکریای رازی را در خود دارد در محوطۀ دفتر سازمان ملل در وین (در واقع VIC)؛ توسط دولت ایران در سال ۲۰۰۹ به این دفتر اهدا شده است و بازدید از آن تنها به عنوان بخشی از تور کلی بازدید از فعالیت‌های آن دفتر امکان‌پذیر است. هدایای سایر کشورها نیز در محوطه، راهروها و سالن‌های این ساختمان و حتی در بیرون محدوده قرار دارد.

The last couple days have exemplified that uncertainty. On Thursday, news emerged that talks in Turkey between the Russia and Ukraine yielded no positive result. But on Friday, Reuters reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin said there had been some “positive shifts” in talks between the two sides. Again, in contrast to Facebook, Google and Twitter, Telegram's founder Pavel Durov runs his company in relative secrecy from Dubai. The message was not authentic, with the real Zelenskiy soon denying the claim on his official Telegram channel, but the incident highlighted a major problem: disinformation quickly spreads unchecked on the encrypted app. Oh no. There’s a certain degree of myth-making around what exactly went on, so take everything that follows lightly. Telegram was originally launched as a side project by the Durov brothers, with Nikolai handling the coding and Pavel as CEO, while both were at VK. On February 27th, Durov posted that Channels were becoming a source of unverified information and that the company lacks the ability to check on their veracity. He urged users to be mistrustful of the things shared on Channels, and initially threatened to block the feature in the countries involved for the length of the war, saying that he didn’t want Telegram to be used to aggravate conflict or incite ethnic hatred. He did, however, walk back this plan when it became clear that they had also become a vital communications tool for Ukrainian officials and citizens to help coordinate their resistance and evacuations.
