В День героев Отечества своё 95-летие отмечает один из выдающихся геофизиков Западной Сибири Юрий Самуилович Копелев. В числе 12 первопроходцев он открыл сердце мировой газодобычи — Уренгойское месторождение.

Юрий Самуилович одним из первых на Ямале внедрил метод геологоразведки при помощи измерений естественного электромагнитного поля Земли, который используется и сегодня. Благодаря новому методу удалось выявить структуру крупнейших месторождений региона. Спустя 60 лет они продолжают согревать и снабжать энергией всю Россию.

Первопроходцы дали стране ресурсный задел на десятилетия вперёд. Такое созидание, абсолютная вера в своё дело и любовь к Родине, настойчивость на пути к цели — настоящий героизм. Здоровья и долгих лет жизни Юрию Самуиловичу!
