В министерстве труда и социальной защиты населения сообщили, что с начала текущего года на историческую родину вернулись и получили статус кандаса 1 070 этнических казахов.
Всего с 1991 года в республику вернулись более 1 млн 149 тыс. этнических казахов.
Отмечается, что более половины кандасов (51,9%), прибывших с начала этого года, являются выходцами из Китая, 37,5% – из Узбекистана, 7,1% – из Туркменистана, 1,8% – из России и 1,7% – из других стран.
