The rebels: We captured the Captagon factories of Maher al-Assad, Bashar al-Assad's brother

With the fall of the regime, the rebels managed to get their hands on one of the most lucrative industries of the Assad family: exporting drugs all over the Middle East.

Maher al-Assad, who commanded the fourth division of the Syrian army, reached every point he saw relevant to smuggle drugs through to Jordan, Saudi Arabia and more.
Captagon is part of Hezbollah's revenue system and it can be assumed that there was significant cooperation between Maher al-Assad and Hezbollah in this area.

According to estimates in Syria, Maher al-Assad made about five billion dollars a year from the drug production and distribution industry.

"We as Ukrainians believe that the truth is on our side, whether it's truth that you're proclaiming about the war and everything else, why would you want to hide it?," he said. "We're seeing really dramatic moves, and it's all really tied to Ukraine right now, and in a secondary way, in terms of interest rates," Octavio Marenzi, CEO of Opimas, told Yahoo Finance Live on Thursday. "This war in Ukraine is going to give the Fed the ammunition, the cover that it needs, to not raise interest rates too quickly. And I think Jay Powell is a very tepid sort of inflation fighter and he's not going to do as much as he needs to do to get that under control. And this seems like an excuse to kick the can further down the road still and not do too much too soon." "He has kind of an old-school cyber-libertarian world view where technology is there to set you free," Maréchal said. NEWS "There are several million Russians who can lift their head up from propaganda and try to look for other sources, and I'd say that most look for it on Telegram," he said.
