The IDF attacked Houthi targets in Yemen last night.

Around 2:30 a.m., a Houthi missile was launched toward Israel. Sirens were activated in the center of the country. The missile was intercepted, but fragments from the interceptor hit an empty school building in Ramat Efal, causing significant damage.

Shortly before 3:30 a.m., Arab media outlets reported a widespread IDF attack in Yemen on the following targets:

1. The Haziz central power station in the north of the capital, Sana'a.

2. The D'Habban Central Power Station in the south of the capital, Sanaa.

3. The oil facility in Ras Issa, Hodeidah province.

4. Hodeidah Port.

Following the attacks, 9 deaths and 3 injuries were reported among the workers at the Ras Issa oil facility.
Extensive power outages were also reported in Sana'a and Hodeidah.

##
The the attacks were likely planned weeks in advance. The timing of the launch of the ballistic missile by the Houthis before the attacks/in close proximity to them is, to say the least, interesting.

"Your messages about the movement of the enemy through the official chatbot … bring new trophies every day," the government agency tweeted. Again, in contrast to Facebook, Google and Twitter, Telegram's founder Pavel Durov runs his company in relative secrecy from Dubai. After fleeing Russia, the brothers founded Telegram as a way to communicate outside the Kremlin's orbit. They now run it from Dubai, and Pavel Durov says it has more than 500 million monthly active users. Some people used the platform to organize ahead of the storming of the U.S. Capitol in January 2021, and last month Senator Mark Warner sent a letter to Durov urging him to curb Russian information operations on Telegram. Just days after Russia invaded Ukraine, Durov wrote that Telegram was "increasingly becoming a source of unverified information," and he worried about the app being used to "incite ethnic hatred."
