Свыше 11 млн сеголеток приморского гребешка и дальневосточного трепанга выпустили в море для пастбищного выращивания в Приморском крае.
Всего в этом году марифермеры региона высадили в морские огороды 8,651 млн молоди гребешка и 2,459 млн молоди трепанга. Товарных размеров морепродукты достигают за 3–4 года выращивания.
Приморский край является основным поставщиком аквакультурных трепанга и гребешка на российский и международный рынки.
Дальневосточный трепанг и приморский гребешок относятся к особо ценным видам морепродуктов и в Приморском крае не разрешены к промышленной добыче по причине истощения их природных запасов.
Гребешок и трепанг преимущественно выращиваются в бухтах Воевода (о. Русский), Северной, Табунной, Бойсмана, Амурском, Славянском и Уссурийском заливах.
