Их обвиняют в групповом избиении мужа другого профессора, которая пыталась помешать им повесить протестный баннер в здании университета. В начали студенты во главе с деканом оскорбили женщину, а позже избили ее мужа, который пришел защитить ее честь.
Естественно, оппозиция называет арестованных преступников "узниками совести" и политическими заключенными. Их поступок они оправдывают разными способами и призывают помиловать "невинных" деятелей искусства.
На видео один из обвиняемых целует свою возлюбленную. Она счастлива, что ее "мужчина" снова на свободе.

Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores.
