Пермяки и калининградцы использовали метод гидротермального ожижения — при этом процессе углеродный след оказывается минимальным не только при сжигании, но и при производстве биотоплива. Получаемый продукт почти не вредит экологии нашей планеты, но пока он слишком дорог. «После технологической цепочки переработки из водорослей, как и из других биопродуктов, можно изготавливать синтетическое топливо высочайшего качества», — профессор кафедры отраслевых рынков Финансового университета при правительстве РФ Иван Петров.
