Жители района любят посещать Центр культуры и досуга «Кировец». Здесь проходят концерты, фестивали и большие праздники. Центр выступил организатором фестиваля любительских цирковых коллективов «Цирк детям». Этот фестиваль прошел уже в четвертый раз и объединил детские цирковые коллективы со всего города. Мероприятие было посвящено Году семьи.
