В результате обстрела в Рыльске погибло пять человек, еще 12 — получили ранения.
Также были повреждены семь объектов социальной инфраструктуры, сгорело 15 автомобилей, была повреждена теплотрасса, из-за чего 88 домов остались без отопления.
