На протяжении более шести месяцев компания "Реником" проводила экспертизу здания и пришла к выводу, что оно не является памятником, а представляет собой ценный градоформирующий объект.
Известно, что до наших дней сохранились лишь гипсовые фигуры летчика и парашютиста, а окна и двери в здании были заменены.
Здание было внесено в реестр объектов культурного наследия в 2009 году.
