В 2004 году Екатерина Иванова окончила Мичуринский ГАУ по специальности «Экономика и управление аграрным производством» и Мичуринский государственный педагогический институт по специальности «Педагогика и методика начального образования». Доктор экономических наук, доцент кафедры торгового дела и товароведения. Автор более 80 научных работ.
Около 20 лет Екатерина Иванова посвятила работе в сфере высшего образования. С 2008 года преподавала в Сызранском филиале СГЭУ и Сызранском высшем военном авиационном училище летчиков. С 2009 года — проректор по экономике Мичуринского ГАУ.
Награждена Почетной грамотой Минобрнауки России, благодарственным письмом Минсельхоза России. Удостоена звания «Почетный работник АПК России».
