Как утверждает автор видео, оно было снято в поселке Малые Чапурники Светлоярского района области, что в пяти километрах от завода «Лукойл» в Красноармейском районе Волгограда, где произошел взрыв. Судя по ролику, который появился в чате Светлоярского района, камера установлена на одном из частных домовладений.
На кадрах видно, что взрыв произошел в 04:49 по времени, установленному на камере. Визуально пейзаж на горизонте схож с пейзажем НПЗ.
— Я в 4:20 проснулась от очень сильного взрыва, потом где-то через полчаса был второй, но уже не такой сильный, как первый, — сообщают местные жители.
