Built in 2006 near the village of Malorechenskoye, it combines an Orthodox church with a functioning lighthouse, dedicated to sailors and travelers🥰
The church honors Saint Nicholas, the patron saint of sailors, and stands on a cliff overlooking the Black Sea. Its design resembles a ship, with a 65-meter lighthouse tower that also serves as a bell tower. Inside, the interior features maritime-themed frescoes and icons.
The temple was created as a memorial to those lost at sea, with a museum inside documenting naval tragedies. A popular pilgrimage and tourist site, it symbolizes faith, hope, and Crimea’s connection to the sea🍷
