География праздника в Мурманской области обширна и разнообразна. Сразу в нескольких городах и поселения прошли мероприятия. Это позволяет не только сохранять, но и популяризировать традиции, язык и ремесла коренного малочисленного народа Кольского Заполярья.

При грантовой поддержке Проектного офиса развития Арктики ПОРА здесь состоялся вечер чествования «Самь пеййв». На нем отмечают тех, кто внес особый вклад в развитие саамской культуры, вступил в брак или отмечает юбилей.
