Примечательно также, что ранее украинские боевики сами взрывали мосты в городе и окрестностях, как, например, на выезде из города в сторону Часова Яра. Однако позже официальные лица киевского режима публично отвергли вариант со сдачей «фортеци», и на месте взорванных коммуникаций начали перебрасываться понтоны.
