По данным СМИ, подозреваемым в убийстве главы Завьяловского района оказался бывший глава местного комитета по делам молодежи 45-летний Анатолий Ф. Он около 30 минут выслеживал Онищенко, после чего застрелил его из охотничьего ружья. Затем Анатолий попытался покончить с собой, но остался жив (что в его случае удивительно — видимо, стрелял он себе в подбородок, но рука соскочила). В настоящее время он находится в реанимации в критическом состоянии, из-за чего его допрос пока невозможен.
Следствие рассматривает личный конфликт как основную версию преступления — предположительно, Анатолий затаил обиду на своего бывшего начальника. На месте происшествия продолжаются следственные мероприятия.
