Это знаменитый физиолог, первый русский лауреат Нобелевской премии 1904 года, академик Императорской Санкт-Петербургской академии наук Иван Петрович Павлов со своей городечной командой. Он был большим любителем народной игры в городки, являлся бессменным капитаном сборной Института экспериментальной медицины и даже носил почетное звание "президент городечной академии".

Ученый говорил: "Во время игры въ городки происходитъ сложная координація мышечныхъ движеній, что, въ свою очередь, благотворно отражается на всѣхъ другихъ функціяхъ организма".

Сегодня 175 лет со дня рождения Ивана Петровича.
