Строительство приюта обошлось бюджету в 135 миллионов рублей. Строили более 4 лет, открыли с помпой в конце октября прошлого года. Богадельня рассчитана на 250 лающих пастей. Два раза в неделю к псинам пускают волонтеров: можно понянчиться, погулять. Хоть под хвост поцеловать. А всего в столице Центрально-Черноземного региона, по подсчётам местной администрации, 5500 бродячих собак. Почти всем им придется и дальше жить в комфортной городской среде, шугая прохожих. Строить ещё один приют власти не собираются. Как и переходить от вольницы ОСВВ к безвозвратному отлову с эвтаназией.
