Этот снег

Проснёшься ни жива и ни мертва
и слушаешь, как маются ветра,
вздыхают меж чердачных перекрытий.

И, сон не выпуская из-под век,
подслушиваешь: вдруг ложится снег?
Чтоб утром выйти –

а там, впотьмах, родился белый день.
Он веточками трогает людей,
пуглив и любопытен. Так улитка

нащупывает рожками простор –
то высунет, то спрячет, до тех пор
пока всё зыбко...

И думаешь о белом в темноте,
и снится до утра потом метель,
поля в кромешной сизой поволоке,

дома, дымы, ползёт дорога вдаль...
Проснёшься – дворник шкрябает асфальт
и выдыхает, надувая щёки.

И выглянешь в предутреннюю тьму
и всё за этот снег простишь ему.
