Экспозиция появилась на втором этаже Дома Сироткина на Верхне-Волжской набережной. Она дополнила богатую музейную выставку фарфора и майолики.
Коллекция включает в себя интересные образцы изделий самых известных фабрик и частных мастерских. В основном эти предметы поступили в музейное собрание после революции 1917 года из дворянских и купеческих коллекций Нижнего Новгорода и Нижегородской губернии.
В новой экспозиции демонстрируются изделия знаменитой на весь мир майсенской мануфактуры. Помимо знаменитого саксонского фарфора, в витринах показаны изделия мануфактур Вены и Берлина.
