Трагедия произошла сегодня во время посадки пассажирского борта. По предварительной информации, самолет резко изменил курс и врезался в военный вертолет, после чегоупал в реку Потомак. На борту пассажирского борта находились 60 пассажиров и 4 члена экипажа. В вертолете, по предварительной информации летел экипаж из 3-х человек.
Поисково-спасательные работы продолжаются. До их окончания аэропорт временно закрыт.
