Как стало известно РИА Новости, партия более семи лет не выдвигала кандидатов на выборы на федеральном уровне и практически не участвовала в выборах на местном и региональном уровнях. "Гражданская Сила" была создана в марте 2007 года на базе партии "Свободная Россия". Партия относится к право-либеральному крылу, её лидер - Быканин Кирилл Алексеевич.
